Omicron Delta Kappa leadership honor society taps new members

This week, ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s tapped 19 students and one staff member to join the highly selective national leadership honor society. The new ODK members will be officially inducted on Friday, Dec. 2, as part of Oglethorpe’s annual Boar’s Head events. This year’s initiates are: Kaitlyn Bassett Kirsten Carroll Benton Cogar Maria Coles Jenifer Contreras Gabriel Kathleen Cutts Caidyn Ellis Zurisadai Flores Ashrakat Hassan Adeline Horton Sarah Hsu Chantel Jones ’18, staff Sean Kang Lidia Labrada Sanchez Elvis Macedo Faith Miller Sharon Olubajo Nadia Sambo Jose Valtierra Amy Vazquez Established in 1914,  encourages and rewards the highest standards of excellence for young leaders and innovators at universities nationwide. Omicron Delta Kappa: The National Leadership Honor Society ODK’s mission is to identify, honor and develop leaders in collegiate and community life; encourage collaboration among students, faculty, staff and alumni to advance leadership; and to promote and publicize its ideals. ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s ODK Circle was founded in 1976 and remains a vital, thriving part of the campus today. Initiation into the circle is one of the highest honors an Oglethorpe student can achieve.
