The Fall issue of ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ’s magazine, “The Carillon” is hitting mailboxes this week and it’s filled with stories celebrating the university. This edition invites readers to explore the energy of campus life, the creativity of OU students, and the accomplishments of alumni near and far.
In this issue, we highlight some of the Class of 2029 — the newest Stormy Petrels. These students bring fresh perspectives and ambitions that will shape their futures. You’ll meet a few of them and learn what drew them to Oglethorpe and what they hope to achieve during their time here.
Summer was a time of discovery for several students who ventured abroad for study programs. From cultural immersion to academic exploration, their experiences highlight the power of global learning. The recap captures the excitement and growth that come from stepping beyond familiar borders.
Closer to home, studio art students are making an impact on the city of Atlanta. Through exhibitions and collaborative projects, they’re contributing creativity and vision to the city’s cultural fabric — proof that Oglethorpe talent extends beyond the campus.
Alumni voices are also heard in this issue. Heather Staniszewski ’02 shares her journey to Alumni Association President in a “10 Questions with One Petrel†feature, offering reflections on her years at Oglethorpe.
And, of course, no issue would be complete without Class Notes, where alumni updates bring the community together in celebration of milestones and achievements. View the full edition of the magazine for more stories and photos.Â
