Professional Experience: | My research interests may most productively be characterized as a multipronged interrogation of the epistemological and affective valences of textuality, pedagogy, and student subjectivity as refracted through literary corpora; with an instructional remit encompassing writing studies, British literature, world literature, and adolescent literary production, I pursue a hermeneutic that foregrounds the discursive entanglements of apocalypse, dystopia, and disaster as constitutive cultural imaginaries while simultaneously maintaining a specialized scholarly investment in the historicity and transnational reverberations of Irish literature as a critical site for examining rupture and narrative continuity; in parallel, my current empirical engagement involves an inquiry into the psychosocial architectures of stress and positive psychology as operative within student learning environments, seeking to operationalize resilience, affective modulation, and cognitive flourishing as pedagogical variables such that classroom practice is situated within broader discourses of well-being and educational sustainability, thereby producing a research profile attentive to the dialogic interplay between aesthetic form and pedagogical praxis. |
