  • Join us for a free, eight-session series that includes nutrition education, live food demonstrations, and optional recipe sampling.
  • Sessions: Oct 3, Oct 13, Oct 16, Oct 20, Oct 22, Oct 27, Oct 29, and Nov 5
  • Participants who attend all eight sessions will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Meals in Minutes Cookbook.

Mastering Your Money in a Changing World

  • This training is designed to help participants overcome financial anxiety and make practical changes to master their money more effectively. Topics include reducing everyday spending, cutting back on energy use, and managing and reducing debt. Participants will walk away with real-world tips and strategies to improve financial well-being and feel more confident about their financial decisions.

Are You at Risk for Diabetes?
  • Instructor: Susan L. Moore, County Extension Coordinator, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent, Certified Diabetes Prevention Lifestyle Coach
  • Hosted in partnership with: Laurens County UGA Extension Office and Wilkinson County UGA Extension Office
  • Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Location: Curry Conference Room
  • Participants will explore the risk factors for prediabetes and how it increases the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Participants will also take a risk assessment test to determine their chances of developing type 2 diabetes and discover practical strategies to prevent or delay its onset.
